Providing solicitors and coroners with professional psychiatric reports on alleged clinical negligence.

This website is intended to assist solicitors and coroners, as my practice is now exclusively medicolegal.

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with several decades of experience in the NHS and the private sector.  I have had consultant responsibility for inpatients and outpatients as well as for multidisciplinary teams in a variety of settings. Consequently I am able to provide psychiatric reports about adults regarding alleged clinical negligence in most mental health settings.

Please note: So that I can solely focus on alleged clinical negligence, I no longer provide reports on other areas of mental health. I do not provide forensic (criminal) reports as I do not regard these as being within my area of expertise. My reports deal exclusively with alleged clinical negligence following a suicide or attempted suicide. Some common scenarios are listed below.

Typical mental health settings for which I prepare reports:

  • suicide in hospital
  • attempted suicide in hospital
  • suicide in the community
  • attempted suicide in the community
